March 21, 2002 - We just began the recording process by having our first full band meeting with our producer, Dante Desole. Dante's claim to fame is that he worked on David Bowie's album, Earthling - and boy do we love telling people about it. I mean, c'mon, it's David Bowie. Dante also worked on the first Breeders album, but they're not nearly as cool as David Bowie. Remember Ziggy Stardust? Remember Labyrinth? - the man is a legend, for god's sake. Anyway, the meeting went really well and there were a bunch of good ideas being passed around. We're now in the final stages of preparation and our target date to actually begin recording is April 12th. Excited? We are too.

March 11, 2002 - We've spent the past two months working out the remaining kinks, playing our first three shows with the new lineup. Our first show back was at the Madison Arts Barn in Madison Connecticut. We were kinda psyched to play our first "barn show," but as it turned out, the place wasn't actually a barn, but something much nicer. Everyone involved was really supportive and it was cool to see that people still remembered us. After the show, we had a great time partying with our new friends, 5 Days Ahead, and the Connecticut gang, The Warriors, at our good friend Cherie's apartment. The next weekend we played a basement show in Montclair New Jersey. It had a sort of a house party type atmosphere. Not like a Kid N' Play house party, but there was plenty of booze and cool hairdos.

Out of the first three shows back, the third (in Wayne) was by far the best. Ashley and the rest of Something Simple Productions did an awesome job. Over 250 kids came out for the show and it was just... beautiful. Ya know, we've been working really hard over the past year, and with these first shows, we're finally seeing it all pay off. It's good to be back. As things get going, we'll be sure to keep you all posted. Thanks for listening.
